God’s Provision 101

God showed Himself

in the hugest way to me today,

TWICE mind you,

that I just had to share.

For quite a while now, we have been one of those families that live paycheck to paycheck. It is hard, but we have learned to work with it, knowing all the while that God is in control and He does provide, because we have always had food on the table, gas in our cars, clothes on our backs and a roof over our heads.

So, today being Friday and knowing payday was Monday, I was still a bit stressed, because I know the hubby was going to want to pay his two credit cards, he likes to pay the statement balances, which sometimes can put a damper of things, and being that I pay the bills each pay day, I knew the limited amount of $$ we had and I was worried that we would not have enough to accommodate the amount he was going to need to pay these two off. So logging into the online banking site to check the balance, my mouth dropped, I was so incredibly surprised to see that his paycheck had posted to our account! Taking a deep breath and in that same instant realizing that Monday was a holiday, these words came out of my mouth, “Oh, Lord, thank you! You knew! Forgive me for worrying.”

So Hubby was able to pay what he wanted on his two cards without a care.

So let me ask you this….

Do you get all jazzed when mail arrives, especially if it is for you!? How about packages? ( you know you do. I do. I’m all like, “ OH, Yea!”) Well we are still on Friday here, and another thing I was mildly stressing about was the minimal amount of laundry soap we had, to be more exact, one loads worth of soap. You see, we are kind of particular with soaps and we found a great powder laundry soap that no one has had any allergies to. I had ordered another box of the soap two days prior but unfortunately it was not going to be delivered for at least a week. Yikes, dirty clothes all around. So I’m planning out how laundry will be done for the next week, envisioning the pile I myself have sitting in my closet, I worked out that hubby could have the one scoop of soap we had left, I would use the liquid soap left over from a year ago, hopefully the daughter had enough clothes to get her to next week, and when the new laundry soap arrived, I would wash several loads of sheets and towels to wash out the liquid soap residue and hubby should be good to go with his laundry. So as the dog barked to let me know that mail man had arrived, I opened the door to find two packages at the door, both with my name on them! (“OH, YEA!”) Guess what one of the packages contained……THE LAUNDRY SOAP! Holy smokes, Lord, again your provided what I needed! Twice in one day.  (so guess who did her laundry first)  🙂

God’s Goodness. I feel very blessed today.
